Citrus Liquid Dish Cleaning Essentials Details:

This kit includes a Cellulose Cleaning Cloth, a Loofie Scrubber & 3 Plastic-Free Liquid Dish Soap pods to keep your ongoing dish washing mission completely sorted!

The etee cellulose cloth is 100% natural and made of wood & cotton cellulose.

Our Loofie Scrubber (affectionately known as our "loofie") is a combination of the gentle scrubbing power of the fibrous loofah plant and the spongy cellulose-cotton cleaning cloth, which makes for reusable & biodegradable dish cleaning with absolutely no plastic.

The wax-based pod makes 400ml /13.5oz of our plant-based liquid dish soap concentrate - all of which is completely biodegradable.

And how about some lemon limey citrus magic happening while you soap up your dishes... sounds good right? We've created a special blend so we could bring some sunshine right to those dirty dishes.

Packaged in our one of a kind, backyard compostable Beepods (tm)!

alcohol ethoxylate (plant-derived grease-cutting agent), polyglucoside (plant-derived cleaning agent), amine oxide (plant-derived cleaning agent), hydroxycellulose (plant-derived viscosity modifier),etee proprietary blend of essential oils

  1. Fill a dispenser or jar with 375 ml (12.7 oz) of water.
  2. Rip open your pod of concentrated dish soap over the jar and squeeze the soap into the water.
  3. Stir the mixture, cover with the lid or cap and give the dispenser a good shake. Let it sit for an hour before first use.
  4. Dispose of the pod in the component or garbage (rest assured that it will biodegrade in either). NOTE: some municipal composting programs won't accept natural waxes, so ensure yours does before adding.
  5. Squirt some soap into your sink or onto your scrubby and clean those dishes like a pro.
  6. Rinse any soap from your dishes using hot water and for the best results, dry them with a clean cloth after you are done.

Each soap pod makes 400 ml / 13.5 oz of dish soap.

Yes! It has an average amount of suds and foam - not too little, not too much.

Simply rinse out the pod, break it up and put in either a backyard compost or dirt. 1 pod can also be placed in a countertop composter such as the LOMI, and because it is made of natural waxes, oils and resins, it could really be disposed of anywhere without leaving a harmful trace. It will typically take 3 - 6 months to decompose in a natural compost pile with a good microbe mix.

These plastic-free pods are handmade in our Toronto area shop, so you can trust that not only are our employees fairly treated, they're also free to goof it up from time to time. We kept it local with getting someone in the Toronto area to formulate our dish soap concentrate, too!

  • When you subscribe to our subscription plan, we ship you product every 1-6 months.
  • Includes free shipping.
  • Cancel anytime.

How to use our dish soap concentrate

  1. Rip the pod open at one of the ends
  2. Squeeze the pod from the opposite end and aim the soap into the jar
  3. Shake and let rest for 20 minutes
  4. Rinse pod and compost or re-use the wax for other projects such as candles!

Your loofie | Our planet

Ditch that plastic yellow & green scrub & sponge at last! Our plastic-free Loofie Scrubber (affectionately known as 'Loofie') is a combination of the gentle scrubbing power of the fibrous loofah plant and the spongy cellulose-cotton cellulose dishcloth. They're even sewn together using cotton thread (rather than the all too commonly used polyester thread) which makes for reusable & biodegradable dish cleaning with absolutely no plastic.

Ditch the paper towel

For more than just cleaning your dishes, these bad boys dry 10x faster than cotton, so they don't get stinky like other cloths do! They're great for dishes, but also a fantastic paper towel replacement! Our cellulose cloths are made of wood & cotton cellulose which makes them fully compostable, dishwasher & machine-wash safe and last for several months!  Less waste - totally plastic-free.

We’ve been using Citrus Sunshine Liquid Dish Sop for several years and find it to be more than satisfactory. I’ve recommended it to friends and family! I appreciate the new packaging system and have not had leaking in transit anymore. All good!

Love the eco packaging

I am so thankful to find a product that is not wrapped or packaged in plastic. The soap works well. I was a Dawn loyal customer and I like this soap so far.

Love this

So the dish soap came, much to my kids dismay as I was out and let them not do that chore for 2 days, I mixed it in the ninja (submersion blender would work as well) and a week later no separation issues as others have mentioned.

Smells good
Feels good on the hands
Cleans very well

The scrub pads and clothes are awesome as well ... 100% recommended to buy

Surprisingly impressed

I was skeptical about this: The reviews highlight that it doesn't foam the same (it doesn't) and it doesn't cut grease (it does!). BUT I can say I am converted: I don't have a dish washer so am extra particular about my hand washed dishes. I don't mind the wax pod (it goes into the compost), it works and sometimes needs a little shake. Plus it doesn't containe Sodium Lauryl Sulfate - which is huge.

Great product

I love this dishsoap! It cleanses well and smells so goood! I love that it contains zero plastic and harmful chemicals!
I just have one question, can this be used in the dishwasher as well?

Thank you in advance

Thanks for the feedback Kristine! Glad to hear you're enjoying the soap. We don't recommend using it in a dishwasher - but we're actually working on a dishwasher detergent so stay tuned!

Great products

I ordered this set because I wanted to try the soap and I loved it all, especially the cloth it’s so absorbent and makes cleaning a breeze. I’d read about the lack of bubbles which is accurate but I feel the soap cleans well and it smells great! I will definitely be buying again

Thank you so much for your feedback Melissa! Much appreciated!!

great except the pods sometimes leak in transit and become dried up

I love this product and the mission of this company. My only complaint is that only more than one occasion, I've opened a new box and found that one of the pods broke in transit and completely dried up. Would love for the company to find a solution!

not much suds or scent

cleaning power was ok. scent hardly noticeable. not very sudsy so hard to guess how much to use.

Hello Naturedoc,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. This is a tough one for a lot of folks. It's due to SLS, which is in 99% of Dish Soaps - including most of the vegan 'eco friendly ones'. SLS is an artificial foaming agent that is known to be toxic to aquatic life. See link below for details on its designation. For decades we've associated suds with CLEAN, but it's not scientifically true. The best hack is to put the soap DIRECTLY onto your scouring pad, dish brush or dirty dishes. This will get you the clean you expect, it will reduce water and you'll feel good knowing you're taking one small step towards cleaning up our planet. If you still aren't satisfied we do have a 90 day guarantee, please get in touch with our customer service team at info@shopetee.com :)
