Thewax-based podmakes 400ml /13.5oz of our plant-based liquid dish soap concentrate - all of which is completely biodegradable.

And how about some lemon limey citrus magic happening while you soap up your dishes... sounds good right? We've created a special blend so we could bring some sunshine right to those dirty dishes.

Packaged in our one of a kind, backyard compostable Beepods (tm)!

alcohol ethoxylate (plant-derived grease-cutting agent), polyglucoside (plant-derived cleaning agent), amine oxide (plant-derived cleaning agent), hydroxycellulose (plant-derived viscosity modifier)

  1. Fill a dispenser or jar with 375 ml (12.7 oz) of water.
  2. Rip open your pod of concentrated dish soap over the jar and squeeze the soap into the water.
  3. Stir the mixture, cover with the lid or cap and give the dispenser a good shake. Let it sit for an hour before first use.
  4. Dispose of the pod in the component or garbage (rest assured that it will biodegrade in either). NOTE: some municipal composting programs won't accept natural waxes, so ensure yours does before adding.
  5. Squirt some soap into your sink or onto your scrubby and clean those dishes like a pro.
  6. Rinse any soap from your dishes using hot water and for the best results, dry them with a clean cloth after you are done.

Each soap pod makes 400 ml / 13.5 oz of dish soap.

Yes! It has an average amount of suds and foam - not too little, not too much.

Simply rinse out the pod, break it up and put in either a backyard compost or dirt. 1 pod can also be placed in a countertop composter such as the LOMI, and because it is made of natural waxes, oils and resins, it could really be disposed of anywhere without leaving a harmful trace. It will typically take 3 - 6 months to decompose in a natural compost pile with a good microbe mix.

These plastic-free pods are handmade in our Toronto area shop, so you can trust that not only are our employees fairly treated, they're also free to goof it up from time to time. We kept it local with getting someone in the Toronto area to formulate our dish soap concentrate, too!

  • When you subscribe to our subscription plan, we ship you product every 1-6 months.
  • Includes free shipping.
  • Cancel anytime.

How to use our dish soap concentrate

  1. Rip the pod open at one of the ends
  2. Squeeze the pod from the opposite end and aim the soap into the jar
  3. Shake and let rest for 20 minutes
  4. Rinse pod and compost or re-use the wax for other projects such as candles!

Your loofie | Our planet

Ditch that plastic yellow & green scrub & sponge at last! Our plastic-free Loofie Scrubber (affectionately known as 'Loofie') is a combination of the gentle scrubbing power of the fibrous loofah plant and the spongy cellulose-cotton cellulose dishcloth. They're even sewn together using cotton thread (rather than the all too commonly used polyester thread) which makes for reusable & biodegradable dish cleaning with absolutely no plastic.

Ditch the paper towel

For more than just cleaning your dishes, these bad boys dry 10x faster than cotton, so they don't get stinky like other cloths do! They're great for dishes, but also a fantastic paper towel replacement! Our cellulose cloths are made of wood & cotton cellulose which makes them fully compostable, dishwasher & machine-wash safe and last for several months!  Less waste - totally plastic-free.

Works Fine

It works as well as anything else. I don't wash dishes by hand, usually, so for me, this soap is adequate. It doesn't make a lot of suds but that's typical of eco- friendly soap. I love the packaging! Great idea. So good for the planet. That's the most important thing.

This soap is awesone

The cleaning power of this dish soap is absolutely on par with any other dish soap one can buy. I'm used to seeing no suds because I buy eco-friendly products regularly and understand the suds are not the cleaning agent. It is wonderful that is comes in a biodegradable beeswax package. I'm very happy to keep using this product and am grateful that you make it.

I'm so happy to hear that Marcella, thank you so much for leaving us a review!

Great!

Love this soap. Wish it was a tiny bit thicker but I think I just added too much water. It definitely cleans my dishes well! I have been using the unscented, which is great but I would vote for lavender if future scents are being considered!

Thanks Marika! Lavender would be nice for sure :) I think that we almost released a Lavender Lime scent - but decided to go with 'Citrus Sunshine' instead. Have you tried it?

Unscented Liquid Dish Cleaning Liquid

I love the idea of environmentally better products but I have two things I would like to share. First, I am curious why you use beeswax to send the soap? I would think that with bees being so endangered and wax being so fatty that there would be a better way. But more importantly for me is the soap. It really does not clean as well as I would like so I am ending up using much more than should have to, especially when cleaning something a bit more greasy.. Just me thoughts -

Hi Bren, thank you for your feedback. Our beeswax-based plastic-free pods are completely biodegradable. We feel comfortable because the declining bee population is the result of a relatively new class of insecticides called neonicotinoids, or neonics, rather than from beeswax farming. I'm sorry you find that it doesn't clean well, please feel free to take advantage of our 90-day guarantee policy :) Have a wonderful day!

Not for me

Wanted to love this product. Like the packaging. But the product didn't deal with grease well and I found the smell unpleasant.

Needs More Cleaning Power

I’ve tried this product twice now. Meaning I’ve used 6 tubes. I find the cleaning power to be weak. Usually I have to use 2-3x more soap to clean dishes.

Hey Spencer! Is it actually the cleaning power you're having trouble with or the lack of bubbles? Bubbles/foam do not equal cleaning power! We've had our soap tested and the cleaning power is on par with other eco friendly soaps on the market, even without the added SLS. We opted not to use this ingredient because it's unfortunately toxic to marine life, on top of being purely cosmetic. I hope that helps! If you'd like to discuss this further please reach out to our team at info@shopeee.com :)
