While many companies now offer clean or natural ingredients (and zero animal testing) they can't always say the same about their packaging, which often contains the very chemicals - including phthalates - their products are supposed to be ‘free-from’.
"Phthalates are added to a dizzying array of plastics, to make them flexible [and] durable. They easily escape from these products as vapors or particles, and are found in the urine of nearly every American, as well as in blood, sweat, breast milk, semen and ovarian fluids." In addition to clinically proven ingredients like hyaluronic acid, squalene and Vitamin C, we doubled down on moisture retention through a partnership with a research facility in southern Ontario where they naturally grow - through fermentation - a single celled algae, Euglena gracilis, that produces a highly pure (>95%) and crystalline form of ß-1,3-glucan, otherwise known as beta-glucan.
