Only 8% of plastic is recycled and plastic never really decomposes. Our packaging is as natural as the ingredients inside. It can be repurposed, reused and fully composted right in your back yard. Good for you, good for our planet.
Why are we trucking all that water around the world, burning extra carbon and making extra packaging for something we all have at home? Makes no sense, right? That's why we eliminated all the water and left only four plant based ingredients:
Even top ‘eco brands’ contain SLS, which doesn’t ‘clean’ your dishes, it just makes more suds. According to the David Suzuki Foundation SLS is “... toxic to aquatic organisms.”
So we eliminated all potentially toxic binders and foaming agents including: SLS, Phthalates, Sulphites, Sulphates, Synthetic Colourants or Fragrance.
Will our soap suds?
Yes, but don't expect a synthetic foam.
Will our soap clean?
You betcha, we have the research to support it!
Our soap concentrate and packaging was developed and made in the Greater Toronto Area, better known as 'Le 6ix', so you can rest assured that we adhere to the highest standards of manufacturing, quality and fair treatment of everyone involved.
I used a finished mrs Meyers bottle. I didn't say I swapped it out and got a rave reviews from my mom who thought I bought a new formula or something lol
Castile soap also doesn’t suds up but loving how much better the etee soap is at cleaning with less product needed, and that it doesn’t leave any residue on my dishes.
I used to fill my sink with water and squirt a bunch of soap in. In an effort to use less water, I switched to a plastic scrubby brush that you fill with soap. I found that the head needed frequent replacing and that I wasted a lot of soap which leaked out between uses. The etee soap has been a perfect solution. I find that it works great and you really only need a small amount.
No plastic bottles, no plastic scouring pads, no polyester dish cloths. Featuring etee's original, - all-natural, - dish soap concentrate, etee's original LOOFIE scouring pad (half loofah, half cellulose dish cloth, sewn with cotton thread) and a cellulose dish cloth that is a perfect replacement for paper towel and cotton cloths because it is ultra absorbent, it dries 10x faster than cotton and it won't get smelly! Each dish soap pod makes 13oz/400ml of liquid dish soap!
Each biodegradable pod holds our all-natural, bio-based concentrated dish soap, made with 100% plant-based ingredients. Free from SLS, Phthalates, Sulphites, Sulphates, Synthetics, Colourants and Fragrance. Each 40ml pod makes 13oz/400ml of liquid dish soap.
Great for dishes, but also a fantastic paper towel replacement - absorbs up to 15 times its weight! etee cellulose cloths are 100% natural, made of wood & cotton cellulose, dishwasher & washing machine safe and completely compostable. But what we love most is that they dry 10x faster than cotton, which means they won't get stinky, even after months of use!
Combining the gentle scrubbing power of the fibrous loofah plant and the spongy cellulose-cotton cloth. Sewn together using cotton thread, making for reusable & biodegradable dish cleaning with absolutely no plastic. What does that mean? 100% biodegradable, a low carbon footprint and NO MORE MICROPLASTICS DOWN YOUR DRAIN!
Grab one of our 16 oz glass mason jars with either a stainless steel pour-spout lid or a highly requested stainless steel pump with a plastic straw (this pump has the least plastic that we could source and is offered only due to popular demand).
Either option is easy to use, slick, classy and looks great on your kitchen counter.
Say goodbye to plastic wrap & bulky storage containers. Preserve your food and protect your family - naturally - with our reusable etee foodwraps.
A natural alternative to plastic produce & zippy bags. Great for larger items like kale, lettuce & bread. Super easy to use.
Our dish soap is a bio-based concentrated dish soap made with 100% plant-based ingredients. It comes in a bio-based, plastic-free pod that’s completely biodegradable too (win-win!).
What’s in it? (see parentheses if you’re not a chemist!)
Ingredients: alcohol ethoxylate (plant-derived grease-cutting agent), polyglucoside (plant-derived cleaning agent), amine oxide (plant-derived cleaning agent), hydroxycellulose (plant-derived viscosity modifier), etee proprietary blend of essential oils (essential oils present in scented version only).
etee liquid dish soap concentrate is free from all of the following harmful ingredients:
Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS), Phthalates, Sulphites, Sulphates, Synthetic Colourants & Fragrances.
Looking at the dish soap that was already on the market, we realized that they were just not good enough. Mainstream dish cleaners are made with widely used, more cheaply acquired synthetic ingredients. And while they may leave your dishes squeaky clean, what’s in the soap is potentially bad for your health and the environment.
Though it took a bit of research and experimenting to find the right balance, we worked with some scientists who were able to create a very effective blend of plant-based cleaning agents that we’re really proud of. The soap is safe for you & me, safe for aquatic life, but still great at cleaning dishes!
Of course not! We don’t test on animals, and neither should you (dogs don’t wash dishes, silly)
You know what’s great? The formula that we use to make the pods is 100% bio-based and naturally biodegradable. We use no plastic or petroleum by-products that linger in the landfill and harm our environment. Just pop your used pod in your compost bin and rest assured that it will break down.
Between use, sterilize the dish soap bottle that you are using by boiling it for 5 minutes, or putting it through a dishwasher cycle before reusing.
