PVA IS USED TO BIND LAUNDRY SHEETS

PVA is a petroleum derived, DISSOLVABLE plastic used to bind 'laundry sheets' and wrap 'laundry pods'. In our research it was unclear how long it takes PVA to decompose, but according to one study out of NewCastle University (that researched ingested plastic by deep sea creatures) remnants of PVA is showing up in the bellies of sea creatures:

"The fragments identified include... polyvinyls closely resembling polyvinyl alcohol or polyvinylchloride - PVA and PVC."

Super Concentrated

Our solution to the PVA dilemma was to take an old technology - laundry powder - and give it a modern boost by concentrating it so that you only need one teaspoon for lighter loads, and 1 tablespoon for heavier loads. 1 tablespoon of our detergent weighs about 12g, vs. a typical liquid pod, which weighs on average 23g.

THE OMNIDEGRADABLE® SOLUTION

Packaging is important to us. We knew we needed something that would decompose everywhere - the Ocean, landfills and out in nature - while also protecting the product itself from the elements (water, humidity, etc). That's why we partnered up with our friends over at TEKPAK Solutions. They have paper packaging lined with a plastic that preserves, protects AND decomposes - everywhere - which is why they call it 'Omnidegradable'. Their product is engineered with the use of a completely organic additive, which in the presence of microbes, create an enzyme that breaks down the long-chain molecules of the plastic. This allows the microbes to then consume the plastic. After 10 years of testing, they can make just about any type of packaging Omnidegradable® – resealable pouches, zippered bags and even bags with off-gassing valves.

Cuts Grease!

One of the biggest challenges with finding a good dish soap is whether or not it cuts grease. Dawn has been the only brand, up until now, that I found effective. THIS soap however is fabulous! I sautéed a bunch of veggies in olive oil last night and your dish soap cut right through all the oil with no problem. Best Sponge Ever!

Awesome Scrubbies!

One came with my first order and I ordered 3 more. They work great. I personally like a thinner scrubby and it's less waste and easy to rinse out. These don't get nearly as smelly as the thick eco sponges I'd been buying. Another really great product!

Plastic use is sooo overwhelming so important to start in one area for success. The soap works!!! I was not sure at first because dish soap is so personal for some of us crazies. I might use too much but love how it soaps up, cleans well, smells and works. I also have tried to save pods to use for crafts but still working on that area. The BEST kitchen cloth

I have an assortment of dish cloths--handmade, thick cotton, thin cotton, microfibre--and this is far and away the best. I love that it's light and small because I have small hands. It's super absorbent, washes well to become odourless and doesn't stain easily (white cotton dish cloths: what was I thinking???) I'm going to order some more and get rid of the rest.

Showed up on time and did the job!

So I just got this today and as I was going to put all my new Etee merchandise away, my puppy decided to pee on the floor. Having this cloth in hand it seemed like the perfect test. I didn't rinse it or anything as recommended. I just soaked up the pee and then grabbed a paper towel to test if anything was left in the carpet. NOTHING! NOT EVEN A DROP! Seriously, this one test just saved me half a dozen sheets of bounty at least. Now if only it could housebreak my dog.

I LOVE the Jumbo Cellulose Cleaning Cloth

I got my first regular sized cleaning cloth when I became an Etee member. The Cellulose cleaning cloth is the #1 everyday picker upper in my kitchen. I have almost given up using paper towels. Lip balm is the bomb!

I really think Etee did this one well. The packaging is superb. I strive everyday in everyway for a plastic-free way of life and this balm helps me accomplish that. The product itself is soothing and feels awesome on the lips. And how come no one thought of a bigger size lip balm in the first place? Such a great improvement but hardly rocket science. We purchased this in our ongoing effort to turn our home plastic free. It took a few days to get used to but honestly, plastic or not, we LOVE the way our mouth feels after using these little things! It is not as sweet as toothpaste and the mont is not intense. The incredible feeling of clean makes up for the masking of an overdose of mint. They break down just fine and foam up like crazy. Best floss ever!

I absolutely love this floss. I bought it to get away from the plastic floss containers. But this is so much nicer than the plastic floss. It glides smoothly between your teeth and I find it quite strong. I just love the results of this floss. And, when I'm done it cut it into little pieces and food it to the worms in my worm farm.

I love this toothbrush! It gets the job done, without shedding plastic in my mouth or the water. And when the head wears out- I’m hard on toothbrushes-I can just replace the head!! No need to throw away the whole brush. In the past I went through at least two plastic toothbrushes a month. Glad to not have that waste continue. Bamboo toothbrusht

I've been trying to get my partner to convert to bamboo toothbrushes for years, without success. I've tried a few different brands, but he keeps saying he doesn't like the feeling of the wood. I have tried 2 other bar conditioners in the past, which were okay but not good enough to switch to. This one is worthy of the switch. A good detangler too

While I’m not wild about the scent, I love this conditioner because it also acts as a detangler for my very long hair. I take a minute or two to really work into my hair and once rinsed, I no longer have to use leave in conditioner to detangle. So one more plastic encased product I no longer have to buy.

LOVE this product. My hair has never looked (and smelled) so good! It does take some time to allow the product to set for 15-20 minutes before rinsing but wow the results are well worth it. Hair is manageable and no winter "fly away" strands and no oily residue. I highly recommend this product.

Such a great product

I absolutely love this shave bar. I was not too optimistic because I have very sensitive skin, but even my underarms are smooth and not at all irritated after using the shave bar! My only hesitation is that for the price of the bar. I fear that it’s not going to last me nearly as long as traditional shaving cream, which is much less expensive. I’m definitely going to keep using it though, as long as my budget will allow!

Best hand “lotion” ever!

I live in Napa Valley California and summer and fall are incredibly hot and dry. Our humidity levels often go below 15% and my hands crack and peel horribly. Love the wraps!

I believe these are the best natural wraps on the market, hands down. I tried a few other brands and none are as strong and pliable as this brand. Also, the material sticks to itself really well when trying to wrap a sandwich, or any other items, keeping the food fresh for many, many hours. I’m so relieved at being almost plastic free with my foods.... but it takes work. All one has to do, on any given day, is look in the garbage can of an average 4 person American family and see that the majority of trash is plastic. We must keep at it.... thank you!

I’m on my second set because I use these daily. My first set lasted about 18 months and still could be used, but wanted a nicer looking set for company arriving. I never use plastic wrap anymore. These truly are perfect!

The wraps helped my hubby start to become more eco-conscious. Even though the largest wrap still wasn't large enough to project his sandwich from drying out a little, he liked the idea of reducing our plastic footprint. Excellent, comfortable mask

Of the various masks I've tried, I like these the best. Good coverage. Fabric is not too hot in DC summertime. Adjustable straps and nosepiece make the fit very comfortable. Also, I just happen to love the colors!

These filters are the standard for mask filtration - made with activated carbon and non-woven melt-blown filter cloth. After much debate, we decided on a disposable filter in light of our unique health situation. The five-layer filter system is not meant to be reused or washed. To use, insert the PM2.5 filter along the inside of the mask.

NOTE: After much consideration, we have decided to ship these filters in a plastic bag to avoid any contamination.

These cloths are the bomb!

I use both the large & small cloths, and they are fantastic! I have separate ones for kitchen & bathroom/house/car cleaning. Replaces paper towels, but has so many uses, and they don't leave any lint or fuzz! You can clean mirrors & windows with just plain hot water, and they come out clean & streak free with these cloths. Can't live without them.

like the lotion, wonder if you could make a refill option

The lotion bar seems to work well for me, and I like the scent (though I usually avoid scents altogether). When I run out, however, I don't really need another tin. Would it be possible to have a less expensive option that comes wrapped in paper (waxed, if necessary), or packaged in cardboard?
