Pod Ingredients:

Hemp, natural waxes, resin and oils.

1. Fill clean jar with 100ml of (potable) drinking water
2. Pour the contents of the pod into the water
3. Gently mix by tipping the bottle upside down several times, then leave for 20 minutes
4. Use morning and night

1 pod makes 140 ml of cleanser

It's great for normal and sensitive skin because it contains gentle surfactants - below a 3 on the EWG toxicity scale - ceramides, to protect the skins barrier and glycerin, which draws oil out while keeping moisture in, this allows it to deeply cleanse pores and remove makeup without drying or irritating your skin. Our use of ceramides and gentle cleansers will help to clean pores without irritating the skin, and likely for this reason, we have had several customers who have said it helps with acne prone skin, but we did not develop it as an acne fighting cleanser.

Yes, it is a light gel. If you'd like it to be thinner, use 105ml of water and if you'd like it to be thicker, use 95ml of water. Adding a little less or more water will not impact performance in any way, so in other words, you don't have to measure perfectly.

Make sure you use potable, drinking water and add the water first to a clean dispenser, and then mix the cleanser from the Chrysalis into the drinking water.Like all cleansers, we use chelating ingredients to preserve and decrease the reactivity of metal ions that may be present in the water and product ingredients.We use Tetrasodium EDTA as our primary chelating ingredient, which is a 1 - 2 on the EWG toxicity scale when used in a cleanser. We also use Phenoxyethanol, which is a commonly used preservative in skin care products that is to prevent microbial growth.We have run numerous tests, and so long as you use drinking water (tap or filtered) it should work as any other cleanser.

Simply rinse out the pod, break it up and put in either a backyard compost or dirt. 1 pod can also be placed in a countertop composter such as the LOMI, and because it is made of natural waxes, oils and resins, it could really be disposed of anywhere without leaving a harmful trace. It will typically take 3 - 6 months to decompose in a natural compost pile with a good microbe mix.
