Would You Care if Your Laundry Detergent Sweat Through the Bag?

Posted by IT Admin on

So like I said, we're really excited about this 100% plastic free laundry detergent packaging.  And if it works for our LD, we'll probably transition it to all our powders.

But it sweats like a marathon runner in 30 degree sun, meaning the bag will have some minor grease marks.

So my question to you, is if you were walking through the grocery store aisle and saw this, would it put you off / think there's something wrong with it?

FYI, tin and aluminum is a no go for us.

Let me know in the comments below and while you're here don't forget to pick up your FREE - full sized - deep conditioner with any purchase.

  • If I was not an educated etee customer, I think I would find it off putting. HOWEVER a catchy phrase to let me know the reason would probably help me change my mind about the wicking and purchase an eco friendly product!

  • If I hadn’t read your explanation i would be put off seeing this on a store shelf . However I would buy it on line now knowing the reason for the spots

  • I think the catchy slogan should be “don’t buy this environmentally laundry soap”. People don’t like being told what to do. It’ll fly off the shelves. The bag stains are the new “cool look”

  • agree with many of the other comments. a quick explanation. would convince me.

  • Doesn’t bother me since I know the reason. It would perhaps need a catchy very short phrase to satisfy the customer. I don’t know what exactly, but the essence would be “oily bags = 100% clean” (or responsible, whatever). Maybe add a ✔️

  • I would be put off by it without prior knowledge of why that is happening, but if there was an explanation on the front of the bag, such as, “You may see a bit of bleed through on our bags—that is because our packaging contains ZERO plastic lining to preserve the integrity of our product, our company, and the environment” or something of that nature. That would sell me immediately.

  • I think a catchy slogan would help.
“This sweat is natural and it naturally removes yours”

  • I think seeing sweat marks on the bag could make people wary of buying your product, however if you could tie a catchy phrase in the name of the product with a bit more of an explanation on the back people would probably be okay. Try to turn it around in some way to give it a “cool/responsible” vibe that would be great.
