The Next Frontier in Brushing: Bamboo!

The Next Frontier in Brushing: Bamboo!

Posted by Isaac Graveley on

It seems like everyone is trying to figure out how to make stuff out of bamboo. I mean, it makes total sense when you consider that it’s plentiful, sustainable, strong, and profitable.

Did you know that bamboo can:

🎋 Grow faster than any other plant on the planet. It’s been recorded growing at an incredible rate of 47.6 inches in a 24-hour period!

🎋 Produce 35% more oxygen than an equivalent stand of trees.

🎋 Be harvested without damaging the original plant.

🎋 Regenerate about 200 poles in three to five years—the same amount of time it takes one tree to grow big enough to cut down.

🎋 Withstand incredible loads. Its tensile strength is comparable to steel, and it’s harder than maple but lighter than oak.

If you look around, you’ll find out that almost anything can be made out of bamboo. Dubious of that claim? Check out this electric motorcycle, clothing, beer, bicycles, diapers, bedding, and so on.

etee has been using bamboo for its toothbrushes with replaceable heads since XX. They’ve recently innovated again by producing an electric bamboo body toothbrush with recyclable components and compostable bamboo heads and plant-based bristles!
