I got this lip balm to see if its bigger size and content were superior to a regular lip balm, and I'm happy to report that it IS a lot better than most run-of-the-mill lip balms, and the push-up style stick is not too finicky. The grapefruit smell and "taste" are fine, too, and it seems to last a while, which is great during the dry winter. (It would be nice to have more options than two types, though.)
Only more expensive medicated drugstore lip balms, as well as yet higher-priced lip conditioners and masks from a cosmetics store, can hope to beat this product for lasting lusciousness. (That said, it WAS superior to a disappointing French cosmetics lip balm that was supposed to be "extra deep moisturizing", but was not *so* much better than a cheap lip balm! So, it does knock it out of the park against some cosmetic treatments.)
Also, even if it's not necessarily as moisturizing as a lip mask/conditioner, it does well enough. I need a really good balm on my lips at night because I wear a CPAP mask, which really dries out my lips and whole mouth. So, whenever I can't justify the expense of a $50 lip mask, this will do in a pinch.
