  1. Fill a dispenser or jar with 375 ml (12.7 oz) of water.
  2. Rip open your pod of concentrated dish soap over the jar and squeeze the soap into the water.
  3. Stir the mixture, cover with the lid or cap and give the dispenser a good shake. Let it sit for an hour before first use.
  4. Dispose of the pod in the component or garbage (rest assured that it will biodegrade in either). NOTE: some municipal composting programs won't accept natural waxes, so ensure yours does before adding.
  5. Squirt some soap into your sink or onto your scrubby and clean those dishes like a pro.
  6. Rinse any soap from your dishes using hot water and for the best results, dry them with a clean cloth after you are done.

Each soap pod makes 400 ml / 13.5 oz of dish soap.

Yes! It has an average amount of suds and foam - not too little, not too much.

Simply rinse out the pod, break it up and put in either a backyard compost or dirt. 1 pod can also be placed in a countertop composter such as the LOMI, and because it is made of natural waxes, oils and resins, it could really be disposed of anywhere without leaving a harmful trace. It will typically take 3 - 6 months to decompose in a natural compost pile with a good microbe mix.

These plastic-free pods are handmade in our Toronto area shop, so you can trust that not only are our employees fairly treated, they're also free to goof it up from time to time. We kept it local with getting someone in the Toronto area to formulate our dish soap concentrate, too!

Only 9% of plastic is recycled.

Apart from the 9% that gets recycled, another 12% gets incinerated, while "the vast majority—79 percent—is accumulating in landfills or sloughing off in the natural environment as litter. Meaning: at some point, much of it ends up in the oceans, the final sink." -National Geographic

Silver Winner 2021 of Packaging Innovation Awards

We Make Concentrated Dish Soap.

Most dish soaps are up to 90% water.

Why are we trucking all that water around the world, burning extra carbon and making extra packaging for something we all have at home?

Makes no sense, right? That's why we eliminated all the water and left only four plant based ingredients.

How To Use Our Dish Soap Concentrate

  1. Rip the pod open at one of the ends
  2. Squeeze the pod from the opposite end and aim the soap into the jar
  3. Shake and let rest for 20 minutes
  4. Rinse pod and compost or re-use the wax for other projects such as candles!

Free-From Toxic Ingredients.

Even top ‘eco brands’ contain SLS, which doesn’t ‘clean’ your dishes, it just makes more suds. According to the David Suzuki Foundation SLS is “... toxic to aquatic organisms.”

We eliminated all of the toxic ingredients found in generic brands, and replaced them with four plant-derived ingredients:

  •  Alcohol ethoxylate (plant-derived grease-cutting agent),
  •  Polyglucoside (plant-derived cleaning agent),
  •  Amine oxide (plant-derived cleaning agent),
  •  Hydroxyethylcellulose (plant-derived viscosity modifier)

Love this stuff!

etee was recommended to me by a friend right at the start of the COVID lockdown and I've been using it ever since. Although an order lasts a VERY long time so I haven't had to reorder very often. My friend's a lavender gal and I prefer a citrus scent. But the scent here is nice and mild. Trying to remove plastic in most aspects of my life. And composting the pods is easy.

Noice

This stuff doesn't take up much room, cuts grease, is user friendly and uses absolutely no plastic. I'm a huge fan of all the things but mostly that it works. Why go plastic free if dish soap doesn't....well, I use it to cut grease on dirty dish and bath towels, in paper towels and the like, but still; it works!

Excellent way to clean the dishes!

We’ve used a number of regular, generic and “natural” dishwashing liquids over the decades and they’ve been of varying qualities, but I’ve never liked the plastic container that we can’t recycle. We wash our dishes by hand and now really enjoy the ette dish soap. With just a little work to mix it in the dispenser and pump, it’s a breeze to use, just a little dab cuts cooking oil & grease and there’s no plastic. Only some little cut up beeswax pods biodegrading out in the soil in the yard. A great innovative company!

Great solution

I try to do everything I reasonably can to avoid adding to the plastic waste in the world, and this is one small thing that helps! This dish soap works well, smells good, and it comes in beeswax pods in a cardboard box, so no plastic, which I love. I have an old dish soap bottle that I reuse and mix one pod with the appropriate amount of water, and that usually lasts at least 3-4 weeks. I would definitely recommend it.

Fast replacement

Ive been using the dish soap concentrate for a long time now and I love it! Two of the three beeswax cylinders leaked in shipment this last order. I contacted Etee and they immediately resent the order. I had a replacement within a day or two!

Favorite Dish Soap - please, never change

I love this dish soap and have been using it for years. Unlike other plant-based dish soaps I have tried, it isn’t filmy, and it has the right amount of sudsiness and cuts through grease well. It smells amazing, and the beeswax tubes break down quickly in the backyard compost pile, as promised. A great product!

Works as well or better than others

Very happy with its cleaning power. The scent is on the mark, and not really very strong.
